Il s’agit d’un vieux livre, puisqu’il date du siècle passé, des années 30. Certaines choses ne changent pas, mais la société a tellement changé depuis la rédaction de ce livre qu’il ne sert plus à grand-chose aujourd’hui. Le langage est vieillot, certains concepts ridicules.
Paul-Clément Jagot est connu pour avoir écrit des livres douteux comme L’influence à distance ou Science occulte et Magie pratique.
Ses prises de position frisent parfois l’insulte, tant il est déterminé à motiver le lecteur par des moyens violents. Son ton comme ses propos sont hautement moralisateurs.
